The Study of Qabalah
This is not a study of a month, a year, a decade, but rather a life study.
Qabalah is a living study which will develop the student and move them in their
evolution. If this process is not slowed and restricted the nervous system will
be damaged. There should be equal time given to spiritual endeavors (Qabalah),
mental pursuits, emotions/creative expression and physical expression. This
alone will slow the over-zealous student. There are only so many hours in the
day.
The pursuit of the mystery knowledge will change the student in many ways that
are neither predictable nor controllable. Engagement with Qabalah is much like
getting a pet, having a child, or marrying someone. All of these dynamics will
form and lead you into a new, always unpredictable way of being.
A few tenets, rules, and/or suggestions to follow as you pursue your study of
the Tree of Life:
1) Seek small bits of knowledge at a time for they are seeds of wisdom which
shall transform, change, alter and shatter your current way of life. The
knowledge will demand to become wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge applied. The
knowledge applied will result in transformational experience and thus one,
after time, becomes wiser.
2) ALWAYS work back and forth across the tree. If you study Hod (mental),
spend equal time with Netzach (emotional).
3) IF you decide you are truly interested in this subject, study regularly.
Once a week or month for brief periods of time.
4) Find or be open to a teacher to guide you. Do not rely on your own
discernment. We are never our own best guide when we are working with our own
consciousness. We are convinced our Belief System, developed from experience,
is TRUTH; which, in fact, it is not. It is simply our current perception of
life.
5) Give your study and yourself the time and the patience it takes to raise a
precocious child. This is a life-long unfolding endeavor.
7) Work the tree in the pattern of the lightening path.
8) BE PATIENT AND DILIGENT!
9) Do not be pushed by your ego.
10) Ingest in small doses and observe the results before you go any further.
